I write in support of Kathleen James and Seth Bongartz for the Vermont legislature. I have tended to vote Republican and I am a supporter of Governor Scott. But, when it comes to our legislators, I look for people of stature who can effectively carry the needs and wishes of our district to Montpelier.
The comprehensive, incredibly thoughtful platform laid out on Kathleen and Seth’s websites is something I have never seen before at the level of district representative. It says something about their seriousness that they spent the time it would take to put this together. Kathleen and Seth clearly understand this district. They understand the very real challenges we face at this moment and the long-term opportunities ahead if we lay the groundwork now.
There are people across this district putting in hundreds of volunteer hours to improve the lives of their neighbors. They believe in their communities. We need equally positive representatives who can connect those efforts with the legislature and the rest of state government to seek out ways to help these initiatives be successful.
While Kathleen and Seth are very different people, they have a few key traits in common: they listen, they are highly respected and they are incredibly hard-working. They are exactly what we need in Montpelier. —Ed Campbell, Manchester
